Bill could write and draw but, boy, could he ink! Sure, he could ink his own
stuff, but the touch he gave to other artists was brilliant. When Bill returned to
Marvel in 1966, he spent much of time inking the works of others for the proceeding
five years, over many different titles, including inking work on his original creation,
the Sub-Mariner. Some would argue he was a better inker than penciller. Now, witness
